TPM&F SCOPE

The Thermoplastic and Foams Division is organized to provide a focal point for the interchange of information relating to non-vinyl thermoplastic resins including fluoropolymers, polyesters, polyolefins, polystyrenes, polyurethanes, their filled and/or reinforced products, and their foamable and foamed products. The division's interests lie in stimulating the development of scientific and engineering knowledge. By encouraging participation between producers and consumers, the division aims to provide information on new developments which shall encompass synthesis, characterization, fabrication, safe handling, application, serviceability, and marketing.

CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

Dear fellow SPE TPM&F Division Members,

First I would like to congratulate Dr. S. T. Lee for winning the Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA) in 2017. Dr. Lee is Principal Editor for Foam Update, Co-Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Cellular Plastics. He has many significant publications, and has organized numerous technical conferences in foams area. Dr. Lee is well deserved for this highest honor from SPE TPM&F Division.

Ananda Chatterjee Student Travel Award
In honor of Ananda Chatterjee, the Society of Plastics Engineers’ Thermoplastic Materials & Foams Division (SPE TPM&F) is offering two travel awards for undergraduate/graduate students to present their works at a future TPM&F sponsored conferences (SPE FOAMS, International Polyolefins Conference, or SPE ANTEC).
